As an amusing alternative, Supergirl travels back in time to the crisis point and alters that piece of paper again, so that Lex is now an entirely good and virtuous man, who remembers all the bad things he did further in the past and has dedicated his entire life to correcting those mistakes.
Now Kara discovers that without evil Lex in the time line there is a worse villain.

There should be a reverse one with Lex's reaction to Kara receiving a Puluitzer.
The closest screenshot of this (attached) is where Lex had expected Red Daughter to have vanquished Supergirl, but then finds himself being attacked by her. In disbelief he asks her "How are you still alive" !? ... "How did you do it" !!??
